   .                                    Chail is a hill station in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. It is known for its picturesque views, Maa Kali temple and the World's highest cricket ground.

Road

        Chail is well connected with Kandaghat and Kufri by Single road.So, you can reach Chail from both Shimla and Delhi sides. If you are at Shimla, then  Kufri-Chail road and if you come from Kalka/Delhi side then Kandaghat-Chail road is convenient to you.


Market 

Chail is a top hill army area, so there is a small shopping market and a few Hotels; but the market is able to provide you all basic needs and accommodations.


Military School

   There is a India's first Military School established at Chail. Name of the school is 'Rashtriya Military School', Chail.


Cricket Ground

                    The world's highest Cricket ground is situated at Chail and this ground is maintained by Indian Army for Chail Military School students.


Kali Tibba Temple

       Hindu goddess Maa Kali temple is situated on top of the hill, named 'Kali Tibba'. This temple is made with white marble and the valley views from the temple is scenic.




How to Reach


-From Kalka/Delhi Side

                                        Firstly you have to reach Kandaghat by road or train, after it, you will have to follow the Kandaghat-Chail link road to go to your destination. Kandaghat to Chail distance is 29 km.


-From Shimla Side

                   If you are in Shimla, then choose the Shimla- Kufri-Chail road, It is approximately a 45 km long route. It is a link road from Kufri to Chail.
