Garkhal is situated at Dharampur-Kasauli road. Garkhal has a Chowk, which is named as 'Kasauli Chowk', it divides the road for different places. One is going to Kasauli, other two goes to Madhana-Kot Bheja and Baddi-Nalagarh. 


Market 

  Garkhal market is small in size, there are  100-120 shops in the market. Hotels and restaurants are there to rejoice, relax and rejuvenate.


Temples

     There are two temples in Garkhal, one is Baba Balaknath Temple and another is Sai Temple.


Lawrence School

                   It is 1 km from Kasauli Chowk and it is established at Snawar hill, So it is also known as Snawar School. 

It was established by Sir Henry Lawrence in 1847 A.D. Lawrence is a prominent boarding and co- educational school.


How to Reach


Garkhal is 7 km from Dharampur. So, if you come from Kalka side or Shimla side you need to first reach Dharampur and then take the Dharampur- Kasauli Road, which is linked from Kalka-Shimla National Highway. Dharampur is 63 km from Shimla and 25 km from Kalka.
