     Monkey Point is the toppest hill point of Kasauli. It is 4 km from Kasauli Bus Stand. Monkey point is dedicated to Hindu Lord Hanuman, there is a small temple, which is situated at Monkey Point. Temple is also known as Sanjeevani Hanuman Temple. 

This hilltop will provide you charming views of the location. It is a good visiting place for all age groups and it is a peaceful area with monkeys hopping.


Brief History 


At the time of Ramayana, Lord Hanuman kept his foot at Kasauli's hill, when he was carrying magical herb 'Sanjeevani Booti' for Lord Lakshmana. So, this place was converted with the touch of Lord's foot into  the shrine.

The place is full of monkeys so it was named Monkey Point by foreigners.


How to Reach


Monkey point is around 4 km from Kasauli Bus Stand. You can go through vehicles, but this facility is chargeable. To enter the campus you have to cross security check and entry would accept only if you have identity proof. Temple closes at 5 P.M.
