     The famous Bhakra Dam is also located in the District.


Kandrour Bridge 

         Asia's highest bridge is situated at Bilaspur. It is 80 m high from the bed of Satluj river.

           Bilaspur City is the main city and the headquarters of the district Bilaspur.


Nalwari Fair

      This fair is celebrated in the month of March or April every year. Fair is four to five days long and it is basically cattle fair.



Brief History - Bilaspur


  Bilaspur was made a district of Himachal Pradesh on 1st of July 1954, by the act of Indian Parliamentary. Before it, Bilaspur was the separate state of India and Chandel was the ruling dynasty of the state.

Jatoli Shiv Temple, Solan; Himachal Pradesh (India)

Jatoli Shiv Mandir    The temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva. Completing the construction work of the temple took 39 years. It is the highest temple of Asia with 111 feet height.
