Dhaula Dhar

   This range covers a good part of the Suket area and Nagru is the highest peak of this range.


Ghogar Dhar

        This Dhar contains the natural salt mines of Gumma and Darang.



Rivers 

    Mandi has two major rivers. One is the Satluj,  which enters the district near Firnu village and another is  the Beas, it enters Mandi from eastern side at a village near Largi.



Lakes

   There are many lakes in the district Mandi. All famous lakes are described below:-


Rewalsar 

      This lake is devoted by Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs, because it relates the abode  of every these religious deities.


Prashar

      It is situated in the North - East direction of Mandi town. A fair is held here every year in the month of June.


Kamru Nag Lake

        It is located on the Mandi - Karsog road. The Lake is surrounded by tall cedar trees having stunning silence.


Macchial Lake 

           It is 7 km away from Jogindernagar town of Mandi district. This Lake is considered sacred and named after Matasya Avtar of Lord Vishnu.

  Mandi district was formed with the merger of two princely states Mandi and Suket on 15th April 1948, when Himachal Pradesh came into existence.

Jatoli Shiv Temple, Solan; Himachal Pradesh (India)

Jatoli Shiv Mandir    The temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva. Completing the construction work of the temple took 39 years. It is the highest temple of Asia with 111 feet height.
