     Kandaghat is a well known place, which is situated between Solan and Shimla beside the Kalka-Shimla National Highway.There is a link road to Chail and has its own railway station. It is also known for Its Besan ki Barfi.

  Kandaghat is known for State's one and only Government Women Polytechnic College. Kandaghat is a tehsil in Solan district. Government and private both type schools are there in Kandaghat.


Railway Station

 Kandaghat railway station is the major station after Solan. There is a ticket counter, canteen, drinking water and toilet facilities provided by the railway station.

     Kandaghat is 15 km from ISBT, Solan in the direction of Shimla; on the Kalka-Shimla National Highway. 


-From Shimla Side

        It is 30km  from Shimla in the direction of Kalka/ Delhi. 


-By Train

         You can reach Kandaghat by train from either Kalka or Shimla side.

Chail is 29 km from here, for Chail a road is derived from Kandaghat. Speciality -  Hill station and World's Highest Cricket Ground.


  It is 12 km from Kandaghat in the direction of Shimla. Speciality -  Lime and Sand quarries.
