      Rohtang La Pass is situated between Manali and Lahaul districts. It connects Kullu velly with the Lahaul and Spiti valleys of the state.


Pin  Valley National Park

        Pin valley is known as the land of Ibex and Snow Leopards and it is one of the National Parks of India.


Kye Gompa,Tabo and Kaza Monasteries

      Tabo, Kye and Kaza Monasteries are situated into the Spiti valley of the district,. Kaza to Kye Monastery distance is 15 km and Kaza to Tabo distance is 49 km opposite to the Kye Gompa. Spiti is a high altitude cold desert valley of the district Lahaul and Spiti.


Lakes

   Suraj Taal/Surajtal and Chandra Taal/Chandertal  are the famous lakes of the district Lahaul and Spiti.


Valleys

    There are famous Lahaul, Spiti, Pin, Pattan and Shila valleys situated in the district.


Places

   Kibber, Kaza, Komik, Kungri, Dhankar, Trilokinath and Losar etc. are other interesting places in the district Lahaul and Spiti.

     Before the 1960, Lahaul and Spiti were separate districts but on june, 1960  both districts become a part of each other and new district known as Lahaul and Spiti.



How to Reach 


  Via the hill station of Himachal Pradesh,  Manali (Kullu), is the best and very convenient to all visiters to go to Lahaul and Spiti, because Manali is well connected station to other states of the India and nearest with sufficient facilties of transports.
