    Solan district is came into existence in 1972 and it was named after the Maa Shoolini (chief Goddess of the district).

   District headquarters Solan is well connected with Kalka-Shimla National Highway and Kalka - Shimla Railway Line. So, Both are the convenient options to reach Solan.

Thodo Ground, Solan This ground is one of the oldest grounds of Himachal Pradesh. Solan's Thodo Ground is closely related to the venerable Thodo Game (an ancient archery game).
